The Making of Chicken Pods
Our Chicken Pods began life as a new design for a puppy crate!
Inspired by the arrival into their home of a new puppy in 2011, the Roberts Family realised that standard puppy crates or cages were not fit for purpose, creating anxiety for the puppy and disruption for the rest of the family.
Based on scientific studies by experts in wolf and canine behaviour they started work on replicating a more natural 'cave-like' environment for dogs.
They created the first 'Puppy Pod' and, following features in Tatler magazine, Countryman's Weekly and the Daily Telegraph, realised the design could be expanded for more animal breeds. And the Chicken Pod was born!
Now the Roberts' have partnered with Cosy Cabins to ensure their uniquely-designed pet homes can reach more families in the UK.

Chicken Pods arrive to your door fully assembled complete with a removable wooden roosting bar attached, perfect for chickens to grip onto.
Easy does it
Fresh laid eggs can be removed from the pod easily with the lifting lid.

Lasts for years
Unlike wooden housing you do not need to treat your pod with annual preservative treatment or unnecessarily worry about deterioration of your chicken house following harsh winters or steamy summers.
