Supporting animal charities since 2021

Cosy Cabins was founded in 2021 and since the first day of trading, we've been helping animal charities big and small.

In our first year, we pledged a cash donation from every Kitty Cabin sold to Cats Protection and were able to send £500 to help them re-home and care for abandoned cats and kittens.

In 2023 we nominated a local animal welfare charity called Maria's Animal Shelter - based in Cornwall, Maria provides safe refuge for rabbits and other small animals. Through donating at checkout, our customers raised over £270 for the shelter.

We've also donated many free Kitty Cabins to local feral cat shelters over the years since we were founded. Sometimes these are used to house cats in the shelter and sometimes given as prizes in raffles and competitions, helping the shelters to increase their funds.

In 2024 we are announcing two new exciting collaborations. 

In spring this year we launched a new product for hedgehogs - a native species which is sadly endangered. The NestGuest Hedgehog House was designed by Nick Fairburn in 2021 after he started helping hedgehogs at a rescue centre in Gloucestershire. He turned to Cosy Cabins to get the word out about these unique havens for hedgehogs.

And Cornish hedgehog charity Prickles & Paws Hedgehog Rescue soon got in touch. During 2024 and 2025 all purchases of the NestGuest made through Prickles and Paws will automatically entitle them to a 10% donation. We're hoping this will raise money to help them in their bid to build a hedgehog hospital.

Later in 2024 we have some very exciting news about a partnership with a major national organisation but for now it's hush hush!
